Melissa Stevenson
Melissa Stevenson was born and raised in Lafayette, LA. She has been in a variety of choirs and vocal performance groups since she was in elementary school. She earned a Bachelor of Arts and a music teacher certification from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and has been teaching music in the Lafayette area for the past 20 years. Melissa enjoys writing, recording, and performing her own original children’s music, and has performed at many local events over the past several years. She is also a member of an all female folk band, "The Figs" where she plays acoustic guitar and sings. Melissa lives in Lafayette with her husband, Cal, and son, Beckett. She is excited for the opportunity to share her love of music with the families of Lafayette!
Hello Music (The Music Garden) is a creative arts and enrichment center located in the heart of Lafayette. Founded by experienced early childhood music educator Melissa Stevenson, our goal is to provide opportunities for children and adults to express their creativity through a variety of fun and educational experiences focused on music!
